Baktec b.v. is founded by Udo Thom Walbeehm. It develops its first product, the prototype B82. This goes into production in 1982.

We introduce the B88K – our first digital water mixing and measurement equipment with 3 inlets and a pre-rinse option.

Our first bakery water chiller is launched – the BKL 110 with R12 refrigerant. We also sell our first digital, industrial water mixing and measurement equipment – the B100K.

The B150K is launched. This is our first industrial model with a stainless-steel enclosure and RS422, RS485 and TTY. In addition, the BKL 200 ICE Heavy Duty is introduced. This is suitable for high ambient temperatures.

The start of the CERES line. The B1 CERES is launched and replaces all previous thermostatic models. The B2 CERES and B3 CERES are subsequently launched. These have an updated and improved digital regulation system. They are also the first digital devices
with two inlets.

The CERES range is further expanded with the semi-industrial B4 and the industrial B5 CERES. The latter is the first water mixing and measuring device with a flow rate of 80 litres. With the introduction of these two devices comes the introduction of the
PROFIBUS connection.

The B1 CERES HD is introduced; the first thermostatic, stainless steel model with fast flow.

The founder of Baktec hands over the company to his daughter, Sabine Walbeehm.
2007
Baktec starts its sales in Asia, with South Korea as the first country. Baktec products are now also being bought in China.
2009
The BIC Industrial water cooler is introduced. This is a large water cooler that is custom made for the customer.

The B1 CERES II is launched on the market as a follow-up to the Baktec ECONOMIC. Also, the B3, B4 and B5 CERES models are being replaced by CERES Pro models, also with improved controls and settings.
2014
In January 2016 Baktec moves from Wassenaar to Leiden. The company is growing rapidly, so a larger production space and a larger office are desperately needed. This allows Baktec to expand even further.
2016
Sustainability is an important point for Baktec. That is why Baktec will introduce a new range of environmentally friendly water coolers in 2018: BKL ICE Eco Friendly (EF). This range consists of the BKL 200 ICE EF, BKL 200 ICE EF HD and BKL ICE DUO EF.
2018
Baktec brings a new digital water mixing and measuring device to the market that has a throughput speed of no less than 160 liters per minute; the B6 CERES Pro.
